Why hello September, and hello any readers who may be out there :)
What can I say, I'm nothing if not inconsistent. And yet, I am kind of consistent... consistently inconsistent. So really maybe I should change that to I'm nothing if not consistent. Either way, or any way you look at it, it has been awhile! Almost a whole year in fact. But the consistency I speak of comes from the fact that I have blogged in September since I started this blog in 2015, so I've got that going for me! I mean if you want to read something from me, I think I would suggest checking in September and you may just find a new post! Hopefully that's not the only time you'll find something new, but blogging in September looks to be a trend on this page so we'll stick with that!
Anyone confused yet? No, just me? Maybe. I mean that happens pretty easily. Anyhow, where to begin... Last September, I was making posts on here, but at the same time I had another blog going that I had to do for a class at school, and so this one got neglected while I used the other one for school. And I know I could have merged the two blogs into one, and that was originally the plan, but then things just kind of got crazy and I never got around to it. Oops!
I can't make any promises because when it comes to keeping up with this kind of thing, I am literally the worst! I mean the evidence is here for us all to see, I don't keep up in the blogging world very well. Yet, I do at times find it fun and enjoyable, and so when I get around to it I'm going to posts some posts here.

Life Lessons: Credit Card Edition
Is it just me, or does your entire life flash before your eyes when you chop up an expired credit card? Okay, that may be a little overdramatic, but I swear the past four years of having a credit card just zoomed by in my head as I took scissors to that old card.
Maybe this is not the norm, and yet I did just experience this because that's how my crazy mind works. I have no idea, as this is the first time in my life I have chopped up a credit card. How crazy is that?! I feel like it's a real life, adult milestone.

Life Lessons: Adulting Edition (It's Hard and Expensive)
You know those times when you have so much to do that even just thinking or talking about all the things you have to do makes you out of breath. I'm experiencing that right now. I feel like I've never been so ridiculously slammed with so many different things all at once. The to do list seems to be ever growing and nothing is getting checked off. Life I tell ya, it's crazy sometimes!
But look, still smiling even if all those jackets on my head represent everything I have to do... But add a few more jackets, just like 10 or so!

Blogtember Day 23: Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Hey all,
I'm back! Things got a little crazy between school and work and life, and I just let the whole blogging thing slide for a bit... busy, busy. You know how it goes! But I'm back for another day of Blogtember :)
Today's prompt is "A family recipe (if grandma allows it, of course!)" so a recipe I will share with you! I am a fan of baking, like a big fan... As a matter of fact, I have made three batches of cookies in the past two days (actually four if you count the one recipe that I doubled)! So there is a lot of cookies in my house right now, not that anyone is complaining. If I ever have to make cookies to give away, or as a gift, or for an event, or whatever it may be, I also have to make sure I always make extras for the hyenas I live with ;) Haha between all my brothers, and my parents... Okay, and me too... It is hard to keep a cookie jar full around here. So many need to be baked, or I will not have any left for when I need them. And I do need them for this weekend.

Life Lessons: Skipping Rocks Edition
My friends :) |
What do you do if it’s the middle of the night and you just can’t sleep… if you’re me, apparently pull out the laptop and write a random blog post. Who am I? Haha
So today, (well yesterday now) (and still yesterday, even though it’s no longer the middle of the night and instead about 13 hours later that I’m actually posting this! (Got all that?)) ;) a couple of my friends and I decided to go for a bit of a nature walk/hike/adventure. We ended up down by the creek collecting cool rocks, and skipping rocks… well skipping rocks for some. I’ve never been able to do it. And not for lack of trying, I’ve tried many a time over the years, just never ever succeeded. I was more the kid who just found the best rock to try to throw as far as I could into the water and make the loudest splash.

Blogtember Day 10 - A Photo an Hour
September 10, 2016 - Here is a photo approximately every hour that I was awake (well coming up, after I talk too much first).
It was a long day, and quite a unique one at that. I am a day (and a bit) late posting this as I was busy all day and way to wiped to post anything when I finally got home!
I got roped into volunteering for the Whistler GranFondo, which is a bike race/ride from Vancouver to Whistler. This ride is about 122km long and these cyclists are climbing mountains while they're at it. Pretty impressive, it's definitely not a walk in the park and I give every single one of the 4500 riders or so all the credit in the world!
I spent a lot of time on that course, but from the luxury of a luxury vehicle. I was the official co-pilot for my dad, who was piloting one of the sag wagons, as I learned it is called in the cycling world. We were a support vehicle, picking up riders who had mechanical issues, or were unable to continue the ride. I was the official communications operator in our car, taking calls and texts from other vehicles and the head command centre, and scouting for riders in need of support. Overall it was a very fun, interesting and long day. I would happily co-pilot again.
So here you go, all the hours of my day... It was an early one.

Who wakes up this early? Certainly not me... The sun wasn't even up yet! #teamnosleep |
